Since 2005, Vert has been providing local, fresh, and seasonal food that not only tastes great but also gives back to the community and environment. They are dedicated to producing less landfill waste than any other caterer in Toronto, making them the perfect green solution for corporate or private events.
What sets Vert apart is their green initiatives. They encourage organic and naturally grown food choices and are Local Food Plus (LFP) certified sellers. They support the community by working with SKETCH, donating dinner caterings for their Board of Directors meetings and using their print services run by street youth. Additionally, they donate quality untouched extra catering food to the Toronto Community Hostel.
Vert also takes measures to reduce waste by composting and removing organic waste when buildings do not provide. They reduce approximately 2 lbs. of waste per 10 person lunch in comparison to other caterers. They drive environmentally friendly Autoshare vehicles and deliver brown bag lunches by bicycle. Moreover, they are members of Everpure Biodiesel Co-op, driving their vehicle with 100% biodiesel May-Sept.
Vert uses biodegradable non-pulp tableware products and is ISO 14001 compliant, using an environmental management system which conforms to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.
