5 FREE CODING CAMP WEEKENDS
A few weeks ago, Fearless Meat covered the cost of a coding camp weekend for 5 local kids at Prime Programming, and it meant a lot to the families who took us up on it. So we're doing it again.
Jacob runs Prime Programming right here in the Beaches at CC55. Kids 10-16 spend a weekend building real games and projects from scratch and learning the foundations of Computer Science. All they need is a laptop.

Proud Dad Moment
My son Jacob just wrapped up his first kids coding workshop at Community Centre 55.
9 kids, one fun-filled weekend, and every one of them walked out with their own working cipher app they built in Python. Most had never coded before Saturday morning.
Jacob is a Queen's Computer Science student and a Beaches kid through and through (Balmy Beach, Quest, Danforth Tech). He's running 8 more weekends at CC55 through May and June for kids ages 10 to 16.

Jacob's first coding workshop of the season is coming up at CC55 !!
A lot of you have watched Jacob grow up around Fearless Meat. He's just finished his first-year of Computer Science at Queen's University, and he's now offering coding workshops for kids.
His first workshop of the season is at Community Centre 55, Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, 9 AM to 1 PM. Ages 10 to 16. He's got a few spots left.
If you've got a kid in that age range who's curious about computers, send them his way. Proud of him for giving Beaches kids what got him hooked on this computer stuff in the first place.

MAKE YOUR KID A COMPUTER ALL-STAR
A 10-year-old with zero experience can build a real working program in
one weekend. I’m going to prove it nine times this spring.
I’m excited to announce that I'm launching Fearless Prime Programming.
Weekend coding workshops for kids ages 10-16 at Community Centre 55 in
Toronto’s Beaches.
Nine weekends from May 2 to June 28. Nine beginner-friendly projects:
cryptography, game development, web development, AI chatbots, image
processing, and more.
I know this works because it worked on me. A coding camp in grade 9
completely changed what I wanted to do with my life. It’s why I’m now
studying computer science at Queen’s and running my own web design
business.
That experience is exactly why I started teaching.
For the past two years, I’ve been tutoring kids in math and
programming. I’ve seen how powerful it is when a kid builds something
real and thinks, “I made that.”
I’m also hiring instructors. CS or engineering students who are
comfortable teaching beginners. Vulnerable sector check and first aid

Fearless Meat Kids Computer Programming Camp
Hi, I'm Jacob Brown, Computer Science student at Queen's
University, the founder of a web design studio, and the son of David
Brown, owner of Fearless Meat and 2022 Beach Citizen of the Year.
I went to a coding camp when I was in grade 9 and it changed my life.
It was fun, it was challenging, and I met great people. More than
anything, I went from having no idea what I wanted to do to knowing
exactly where I was headed.
This spring, I'm bringing my experience to the Beaches. Fearless Prime
Programming is a coding workshop for kids ages 10-16 at Community
Centre 55. Built on the same community-first values this neighbourhood
runs on.
Your kid shows up with a laptop and follows along with me on the
projector. By the end of the session they've built a real working
computer program from scratch: a cipher machine, an adventure game, a
chatbot, a website, and more. No experience needed. The whole
curriculum is built for kids who have never written a line of code,
while extra challenges are given to kids who have coded before.
Weekend workshops start May 2. Saturdays and Sundays, 9 AM - 1 PM.
Each weekend is a new, standalone experience. Sign up for one or sign
up for all nine. $175 per weekend, or $150 per weekend when you book 2
or more.
