We’re looking for a Chocolate Production Assistant to join our team Sunday to Wednesday. It’s a hybrid role, so you’ll split time between the production kitchen and the cafe floor.
10 hour days, 4 days a week. 3 days off in a row, every week.
We want someone who loves chocolate and coffee, is good with people, and pays real attention to detail. No experience in chocolate? That’s okay, we’ll teach you. Starting at $18/hr. Coming with experience? let’s chat, as starting wages reflect experience.

I want to introduce you to Martha and Carlos Bautista. They grow cacao in Garzón, Colombia, on a few hectares they tend entirely by hand, and they’ve been doing it really well for some time now.
When I visited, a few trees at the back of their farm stood out to me, only because every other tree was kept so meticulously.
I asked Carlos about them, and he reached out and showed me his pruners, well worn but well cared for, and explained that he simply couldn’t reach that high.
They’re getting older too, so going up a ladder isn’t something they want to be doing anymore.
So we’re putting together a proper pruning kit for them: loppers, extendable pruners, an extendable saw, and a sharpening stone, so they can keep their trees healthy from the ground.
This is the first project in our new Cacao Roots Fund. Fifty cents from every bar we sell goes toward it. Buy a bar, and you’re helping get them there.
