We only need $3,500 to fix our bathrooms and ceiling — and keep our food bank safe and open.

At Flemingdon FoodBank, we serve 600+ families every week.
This small fix makes a massive impact.

Today we wrapped up our Turkey Drive — 412 turkeys distributed to families in our community ❤️

It wasn’t perfect. On the first day, we had an overwhelming lineup and an unexpected setback when the delivery truck broke down. We asked for patience, worked through it, and the turkeys arrived the next day. Today, every single one was given out.

What matters most is that our community was supported.
Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who made this possible. Your generosity turned a challenge into a win.

Let’s learn, grow, and make it even bigger next year.
With gratitude,
Flemingdon Food Bank

Today we’re giving back to our community by handing out 400 turkeys to families in need 🤍🦃
This turkey drive would not be possible without the incredible support of our sponsors and partners. A huge thank you to Watchfinder Canada, York Developments, Q & Friends & Family, and everyone who came together to make this happen. Your generosity and commitment to our community truly make a difference.

This is what community looks like—and next year, we’re coming back bigger and better on December 23, 2025. Thank you to everyone who supported, volunteered, and showed up ❤️

Thank You, Nick & the Spadafora Family ❤️

For six years in a row, Nick and his family have shown us what true community looks like.
Nick goes out of his way—visiting supermarkets, collecting food, rallying people to help, and personally making sure everything gets delivered to the food bank.

This isn’t easy work. It takes time, effort, heart, and consistency. And Nick does it quietly, generously, and without ever asking for recognition.

Nick, thank you for taking time out of your busy life—and for bringing your family and friends along on this journey of giving. Your support has helped countless families in our community, and your kindness has made a real impact.

You are a special human being.
One of a kind.
We are truly grateful.

With love and respect,
Flemingdon Food Bank

Today we celebrate something very special — our 10th anniversary at Flemingdon Food Bank 💙

To every volunteer who has shown up, stepped in, and given their time, energy, and heart — thank you.
You are the reason this place feels like more than a food bank. You make it feel like a community.

Once a year, we come together, share a meal, laugh, and spend time as a team — because this is our small way of saying we see you. One of our volunteers even cooks dinner for everyone, and moments like that remind us why this work matters so much.

Your helping hands, your kindness, and your commitment mean more than words can say.
We are truly grateful to have you as part of our team — and always remember, we’ve got your back.

From all of us at Flemingdon Food Bank — thank you for 10 incredible years of service, compassion, and heart. 🙏💙

Ali showed up every single time.
No noise, no ego — just heart.

The latest national findings from Food Banks Canada paint a stark picture for communities like Flemingdon: in March 2025, nearly 2.2 million food-bank visits were recorded across the country — a record high and nearly double the level from 2019. Of those visits, one-third were children, and close to one in five visitors cited employment as their main source of income — underscoring that food insecurity is no longer confined to the unemployed.
