Prologue Café

Prologue Café, located on the corner of Gerrard St. E and Osborne Ave in the Upper Beaches area, is a small coffee shop that offers great tasting coffee and is proud to be part of their supportive and fun community. With occasional art showcases and book reviews, visitors can expect a unique experience beyond just grabbing their favorite cup of joe.

With a mixture of gratitude and a heavy heart, we write to bid farewell as we close the doors of our cafe. It is with immense appreciation that we reflect on the beautiful moments, shared laughter, and warm connections that have graced our establishment.

To each and every one of you, our loyal patrons, thank you for being the heartbeat of our cafe. Your presence turned this space into more than just a business; it became a home. Your smiles, conversations, and shared experiences filled our days with joy and purpose.

We embarked on this journey with a passion for crafting exceptional coffee and creating a welcoming haven. However, life sometimes takes unexpected turns, and we find ourselves at a crossroads. Despite the challenges, we are grateful for the memories we’ve created together.

As we say goodbye, please know that your support has meant the world to us. The friendships formed and the sense of community you brought will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

While our physical doors may close, the spirit of our cafe lives on in the shared moments and connections we’ve built. We encourage you to continue supporting local businesses, fostering community bonds, and spreading the warmth that makes neighbourhoods thrive.

Take the subway to College Station and transfer to streetcar 506 Carlton. Take the streetcar heading east and get off at Gerrard Street E. Walk about two blocks east and you'll find your destination on your right.

Option 2: Driving/Parking
Drive along Gerrard Street E until you reach the intersection with Parliament Street, there is a parking lot on your right just before this intersection. Park there and then walk towards east along Gerrard Street for a few minutes, you will see the coffee shop on your left side. Please note that parking in this area can be limited so arrive early to guarantee a spot.
