Long ago, in a dark and distant kingdom… lived a king with a most troubling curse… an appetite that could never be satisfied.
The royal chefs had tried everything. Towering feasts. Golden roasts. Platters stacked high with delicacies from distant lands. Yet nothing pleased His Majesty. Each dish was tasted… judged… and dismissed. Day by day the king grew restless, wandering the kingdom in search of a meal worthy of his throne.
Some say his temper grew fierce. Others say he simply grew tired of disappointment.
Until one fateful day.
From a humble kitchen came something unexpected… soft clouds of batter, golden and warm, stacked gently upon a plate.
Fluffy pancakes.
The king lifted his fork with skepticism. One bite.
And suddenly… time stood still.
In that single bite he remembered the simple joys of childhood — warm mornings, laughter, and the comforting taste of something made with care. The bitterness that had followed him across the kingdom melted away.
His eyes widened. His heart rejoiced.
“This… THIS is it!” he declared.
Rising from his throne, the king gave a royal command that he would echo through the halls of his castle and his kingdom wide:
“I want ten thousand of these fluffy pancakes in my kingdom!”
And so the legend spread far and low — of the king who once searched the world for the perfect meal… only to discover that happiness had been waiting all along in a delectable arrangement of the globe’s fluffiest pancakes.
