A Sicilian street food classic with centuries of history. 🇮🇹
In Palermo’s Ballarò Market, we experienced the vibrant street food culture that helped inspire our Arancini Palermo.
Arancini are deeply connected to Sicily's Arab culinary heritage, when rice and new spices and ingredients became part of the island's food culture.
In Palermo, they're traditionally round, inspired by the shape of an orange. Head east toward Catania and you'll often find them cone-shaped, with the form famously associated with Mount Etna.

If you are coming via public transport, take the subway and get off at the Kipling Station. From there, ride the 80 or 15 bus going to The Queensway and get off just a few steps from your destination. Alternatively, you can take Bus #101 heading towards Humberwood and exit at Islington Ave + Queensway, then walk for around 5 minutes to reach your destination.
If you are driving, take the Gardiner Expressway west until you reach Islington Avenue North - Exit 139. Stay on Islington Avenue for about 4kms until you reach The Queensway intersection, where you will be able to turn left or right depending on your desired location. Street parking is available along with a parking lot nearby.
