Lately, I've been receiving lots of emails and WhatsApp messages offering me to carry their Ube products but not from the Philippines
Ube is proudly Filipino, but the global opportunity for ube won’t wait for the Philippines. As demand for ube continues to grow in markets like Canada and the United States, other countries are already seeing the opportunity to produce, process, and export purple yam products.
If the Philippines does not strengthen its ube production, processing, export capacity, and support for Filipino businesses bringing ube to the international market, other countries will step in and fill that demand.
Ube is more than an ingredient—it is part of our Filipino food heritage. We have an opportunity not only to share ube with the world, but to make sure Filipino farmers, producers, manufacturers, and entrepreneurs benefit from its global growth.
The world is discovering ube. The question is: will the Philippines lead its global growth, or will we watch other countries build the market around something so deeply connected to Filipino culture? 🇵🇭

When I look back at where I started, I realize I was never just building a cake business.
I was building my story. 💜
I came to Canada from the Philippines with dreams, but I never imagined those dreams would eventually lead me here. I started with what I knew, what I loved, and what I could create with my own two hands.
There were so many times I questioned myself. I made mistakes. I lost money. I experienced disappointments and closed doors. There were moments when I wanted to give up and wondered if all the hard work was even worth it.
But somehow, God kept opening another door.
And through the years, ube became more than just an ingredient in my kitchen. It became part of how I share where I came from. Every purple creation reminds me of home, my Filipino roots, and how something so familiar to us can become something beautiful that I can proudly introduce to others.
That’s why today, I don’t just want to create products people will buy.
I want to create something people will remember.
Something my three daughters can look at one day and say, “Our mom built that.”
I want them to know that their mom had dreams, got scared, failed sometimes, started again, prayed a lot, worked hard—and kept going.
BECAUSE PRODUCTS CAN BE COPIED.
RECIPES CAN BE RECREATED.
TRENDS WILL EVENTUALLY CHANGE.
But my story can never be copied.
And maybe that’s what I’m really building—not just a brand, but a legacy filled with my roots, my family, my faith, and a whole lot of purple. 💜
The story isn’t finished yet.
I think God is still writing the best chapters.

Well… I think it’s time. 🥹
After everything that has happened these past few months…
After the unexpected changes.
The difficult decisions.
The prayers.
The waiting.
And asking God to lead me in the right direction…
The answer brought me somewhere I never expected.
BACK TO THE BEGINNING. 💜

🏠 WE ARE GOING BACK TO OUR VERY FIRST LOCATION!

The place where so many of you first discovered Jackie’s Creative Cakes.
The place where customers became friends.
The place where we created countless birthday cakes, wedding cakes, desserts and memories.
The place where so much of our story began.
And now…
WE GET TO WRITE ANOTHER CHAPTER IN THE SAME PLACE.
There’s something incredibly special about coming full circle.
I left this location once without knowing that one day, God would lead me right back to it.
Different season.
Different mindset.
More experience.
Bigger dreams.
Stronger faith.
But the same address where it all started. 🙏
Sometimes God takes you on a completely different path just to bring you back to where you started — but this time, you return wiser, stronger, and ready for what He has prepared for you.
And that is exactly what this feels like.
Not going backwards.
Coming back with purpose.
