other people writing about what you do usually never goes quite right, but this write up from was the sweetest (!!!) and really warmed our hearts! we're grateful and were lucky enough to be recognized by their team as a place to go for bottles filled with tasty juice.

the acknowledgement of being just a TWO person team surviving in the midst of the pandemic [and for 7 years running] while providing people with the best prices on products we love, really hits home. trying to cut through the noise and provide a space for art in bottle form in a city full of corporations, basic tastes, sales teams, biters, multiple location businesses, investors reaping profit margins, owners who yap a lot but don't get their hands dirty often enough, marketing budgets, social media managers etc isn't easy... so this was a nice surprise.

i'm not sure who exactly wrote these words, [if it's you kate, we're touched] but a generous thank you goes out to whoever did, we felt you really captured a lot of that BL magic and what makes it special.

for sure though, 💯credit goes out two sets of groups.

to the sole owners and truly small operations and winemakers and growers that provide the wine, sake, beer and dranks that we carry. we do the paperwork, open bottles and let people know how hella tasty the goods are but we don't make the stuff. the producers we represent really do all the hard work and we're hoping they are happy with how we get their bottles into the hands of people with good taste.

the other group is all of the lovely customers past and present that realllly powered through, spent money that isn’t easy to come by and supported us to the fullest during an era where we couldn't host you inside. so many of you to thank, people from far and near, you know we appreciate you.

now, back to being the greatest bar in the world.

that's #1 if you don't know math.

we know you're at the cottage, camping or on the patio so we won't keep you but only 12 bottles of this cab sauv from The Hermit Ram out of new zealand, which is where Bret and Jemaine are from. doozy of a skin contact so get this fun bottle it before it's gone, or don't get it, it doesn't matter really what you do at this point.

Also pictured: dope field blend!

ALSO pictured, my original promo poster for Flight of the Conchords. Can't believe we still have it and it's in good shape.

This is the kind of bulls**t Murray would make them do. I miss that show.
