DOUGH Bakeshop DOUGH Bakeshop, located on Danforth Avenue, is a family-owned bakery and coffee shop that has been serving Toronto since 2009. Their small-batch artisanal bread, pastries, croissants, custom cakes, pies, and cookies are all made with the finest ingredients. They offer a full holiday menu and are open on Good Friday but closed for Easter Sunday/Monday + Tuesday. If you're looking for hot cross buns or Easter packs, be sure to order ahead!

We agonized over this decision, but the costs and upkeep unfortunately outweigh the benefits.

The city does not do enough to support small business pedestrian culture in Toronto imo… The overwhelming filth, litter, property abuse, and anti-beautification are becoming a real bummer. A little street vacuuming here and there, primarily of the bike lane, just doesn’t cut it. Anthony Bourdain was not wrong when he said that Toronto has a great food scene, but is quite an ugly city.

We hope you aren’t too dismayed by our decision. Car culture wins again!

To reach the bakery and coffee shop located on Danforth Avenue, you can take the TTC subway to the nearest station which is Pape station. After exiting the station, walk towards Danforth Avenue and turn left. Keep walking for 10-15 minutes until you reach your destination.

If you are driving, take Danforth Avenue eastbound from downtown Toronto. You can park along the street or in nearby public parking lots. Please note that parking availability may vary depending on the day and time.

Alternatively, you can also take a ride-sharing service or taxi to Danforth Avenue.
