**We Are Hiring Seasonal Event Staff **

The Gourmet Group of Companies is a full-service on-site event caterer. Our BBQ Gourmet division specializes in southern style BBQ comfort food. The Breakfast Gourmet offers a wide range of home-style breakfast menus. Our Urban Smoke Food Truck, featured on The Food Network's Eat Street, offers clients an authentic food truck experience featuring fusion BBQ fare.

We are one of the largest on-site caterers in the GTA. The Gourmet Group provides catering, entertainment, rentals, logistical support, and management for a wide variety of corporate events, weddings and private functions throughout Southern Ontario.

We are currently looking for team members who are passionate and motivated to join our team for our upcoming 2021 holiday season, as well as for Spring/Summer 2022. This is a great opportunity to work while learning about the event and food industry. No two days are ever the same here!

Positions Available:
Event Staff (holiday seasonal (December) and spring/summer positions available)

Duties Include:
- Buffet-style food service (COVID Safety Protocols in effect)
- Food Deliveries
- Set up and tear down of catered events
- Food preparation, cooking, and replenishment
- Attending to the client and/or customer needs

Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Food service experience and/or food handler certification an asset, but not necessary
- Reliable transportation to and from work (driver’s license is a plus for all staff, but not a requirement; Main Shop located near Yorkdale Mall and Caledonia TTC Bus line
- Flexibility with hours as we cater breakfast, lunch and dinner events

The Gourmet Group of Companies requires proof of double COVID-19 vaccination from all employees. The only exceptions to this are documented medical and religious exemptions.

Starting at $17/hr + shared gratuity pool.

To reach Bentworth Avenue in Toronto, you can take public transport by taking the subway to Glencairn Station and then transferring to the 14 Glencairn bus. Get off at Marlee Avenue and walk south towards Bentworth Avenue.

Alternatively, if driving, take Bathurst Street north to Lawrence Avenue West and turn left. Continue on Lawrence until you reach Marlee Avenue and turn right. Drive straight down Marlee until you reach Bentworth Avenue. There is street parking available in the area but please be mindful of any parking signs or restrictions.
