☕️🍋 CAFFÈ AMALFITANO: Espresso coffee gelato infused with lemon zest. It’s not tart; it’s *bright*. The lemon and coffee really complement each other.

🥁BROKEN DRUMSTICK: Our deconstructed take on the corner store favourite treat. Chocolate covered waffle cone pieces and peanuts with a drizzle of chocolate fudge sauce in our sweet cream gelato base.

🆕 this week:

🥊FRUIT PUNCH: Pineapple, orange, cranberry, pomegranate, lime and hibiscus all rolled into one!

🕊️DATE & OLIVE OIL: A flavour match made in heaven- caramel-y dates blended into our olive oil gelato.

Lastly, we made a very small batch limited edition flavour of 🦬 LATTE DI BUFALA gelato. A fior di latte made with water buffalo milk. This flavour only available for SINGLE SERVE. NO PINTS AVAILABLE. Available starting Thursday until sold out. If you want to try this one, definitely come Thursday / Friday. It will likely not be around by the weekend.

The inspo for our CAFFÈ SPECIALE gelato flavour comes from the actual caffè speciale we have at Teichner in Rome. .dee always takes us there when we’re visiting and it’s truly a ritual to watch and to drink.

So what’s in our CAFFÈ SPECIALE?
Espresso coffee gelato get layered with swirls of chocolate hazelnut cream. 🤎🖤 Enjoy our memories of Rome in gelato form! And enjoy the banter between Carlo and his sister in the last slide while I was just trying to enjoy my coffee LOL!!!

The two of us were debating how “heavy” this week’s menu was feeling. Chocolate, nuts and chunks always connote “heavy” flavours for us. Hopefully a classic Madagascar vanilla, Limesicle (lime cream gelato) and the Lemon Bergamot sorbetto help balance things out.

It’s a weird in-between season now since the fresh fruit isn’t out yet, and we are using up our stores of last season’s peak fruit. Bear with us a bit longer while we wait for the Ontario fruit and our pistachios to arrive from Sicily. 🚢

Granita season only starts when we have access to LOCAL FRUIT 🍓🍓 And you’ll hear it here first!

In the meantime, enjoy a Caffè Speciale, the coffee flavour we were inspired to make by our favourite caffè speciale from Teichner in Rome.

For the tea lovers, this week we have Masala Chai (spiced tea), which is just like having a cozy tea latte.

Lemon bergamot sorbetto is back this week. Bergamot is a tart citrus fruit that grows in Calabria. Paired with the lemon, it makes for an extra floral and aromatic citrus sorbetto.

☕️🍋 CAFFÈ AMALFITANO: Espresso coffee gelato with a hint of lemon!

🍌🍌BANANA SORBETTO: Dairy free banana gelato with a dash of vanilla.

🫚🫚 DAIRY FREE GINGERBREAD: A creamy, dairy free gingerbread gelato (no gluten or pieces of cookies- just gingerbread spices) made with a cashew base. Cinnamon, cloves, all spice, fresh ginger and of course, molasses.

Yogurt Bianco is back, and for the chunks and texture people we have Cookies & Fudge gelato this week.

YES we are open the holiday Monday, May 18 from 2-9pm.

Lapsang Souchong- Smoked black tea.

The entire kitchen was encapsulated in the fragrant smoky pine scent of this tea. The flavour of Lapsang Souchong is strong- the tea leaves are dried over large pine fires, giving it its characteristic taste and aroma.

Pair Lapsang Souchong with with the Fior di Panna for a smoky milk tea, or the Pear & Ginger to enhance the pine resin notes of the tea.

On the menu this week, the return of our 2025 flavour, FUMATA BIANCA ⛪️

⛪️Fumata Bianca (White Smoke) is the flavour we made last year, inspired by the election of Pope Leo XIV. White smoke being the signal from the Vatican that a new pope has been elected. Our flavour drew inspiration from the papal vestments (white chocolate gelato with a deep red raspberry compote) and of course for the smoke- a sprinkle of hickory smoked almonds.

🖤Licorice lovers, your flavour is back this week. Amarelli licorice root gelato with essence of orange zest.

🌰Cremino is back! This is our Piedmontese hazelnut gelato with a ripple of chocolate hazelnut cream.

☕️Dalgona toffee coffee: espresso gelato with pieces of house-made sponge toffee.

🌵Don’t forget this Friday and Saturday, will be popping up with ceramics and plants for Mother’s Day so you won’t want to miss it!

As always, our White sesame pistachio ripple gelato is DAIRY FREE: this is a TAHINI gelato base rippled with pistachio cream and sprinkles of pistachio. This is a water-base gelato that’s super creamy and rich.

Citrus lovers, this one’s for you. Bergamot is a citrus fruit native to Calabria, known as Calabria’s green gold. Bergamot is prized for its very fragrant aroma (its essential oil found in Earl Grey tea and perfumery) and also known for its extreme bitter tartness.

And you know what would taste really great with the rice gelato? The Alphonso mango or the pear stracciatella 🥭🍐 Those are our suggestions but honestly, we love seeing what your pairings are because they always surprise us in the best way!

We are back! The gelato season officially starts this Thursday, April 2.

It is not strawberry season, but we did blast freeze a stash last summer for an emergency such as now- never ending winter. We really need a taste of warmer days. 🍓

Our Easter-inspired flavours this week include the Lemon Cream, along with the Crema alla Vaniglia (vanilla custard). Lemon and egg are very common Italian Easter foods 🍋🐣

For North American Easter, we will have lots of chocolate mini egg gelato sammies for take away.

The shop is CLOSED Easter Sunday but will be open Monday, April 6 instead.

Okay there are so many personal favourites this week, where to start…

It’s citrus season in places where citrus grows so of course we had to make orange stracciatella 🍊🍫 Creamsicle meets chocolate chip.

Apples do grow in our climate so we have a bright tangy Red Crush apple cider. The flesh of this apple is pink, producing a beautiful blush coloured sorbetto 🍎

We toasted and caramelized ‘s buttery brioche to make a “toast” gelato that gets rippled with our house-made Coronation grape jam.

Caffè Speciale ☕️, inspired by the coffee at one of our go-to spots in Rome, is an espresso gelato with swirls of chocolate hazelnut cream.

If you want a great reco for an affogato this week, may we suggest cinnamon, or Marron glacé!

Lastly, we have Toritto almond, a very special heritage variety of almond grown in Puglia, known for its intense buttery flavour. We were able to bring only a very small amount back from Italy so this one is available for SINGLE SERVE ONLY. NO PINTS.

There are a few extra fun things we made for this weekend so stay tuned. Also- Monday Feb 16 we open from 9am for a “breakfast” pop up with bringing baked goods. Stop in for a coffee, a breakfast dolce or an affogato!

We’ve been in hibernation mode since January and figured it was time to crawl out of the cave! There are so many things to celebrate this weekend- citrus season 🍊, Valentine’s Day 💘, Lunar New Year 🐎, Family Day 🧑‍🧒‍🧒 so let’s do it together with gelato.

See below for open hours, and on Family Day Monday we will be open from 9am-9pm for coffee and baked treats with popping up in the morning. ☕️🍪

To get to the gelateria and gelato shop on St. Clair Avenue West, you can take the TTC streetcar route 512 St. Clair and get off at the intersection of St. Clair Ave West and Christie St. Alternatively, you can take bus route 126 Christie from Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway station to the intersection of St. Clair Ave West and Christie St.

If you are driving, head west on St. Clair Ave West until you reach the intersection with Christie St. There is limited street parking available near the shop, but there are also several paid parking lots nearby such as Green P Parking located at Dupont Street and major intersections along Bathurst Street.
