We see plenty of unique bikes in our shop but this one was a standout several months ago! Read all about Josh’s story on how he got it:

“I first saw a Biemmezeta Cronostar as a kid in the late 80s at High Country Cycles in Edmonton. I’d wander in and dream about riding all the Italian steel they had — Colnagos, Proctors, you name it.

One day, up on a rack, I spotted the Biemmezeta. Chromovelato orange, chrome forks and stays, black Modolo brakes. But the real party trick? The seat stays curved into the seat tube, forming a monostay made from Columbus Air blades. The rear wheel tucked in so tight the seat tube was scalloped to fit. I’d never seen anything like it — it blew my little mind.

Fast forward to 2022. Cam from My Little Bike Shop put his collection online. Scrolling through… there it was. A Cronostar with the Columbus Air monostay — the first I’d seen since the 80s. Not orange this time, but I didn’t care. I saved, made an offer, and finally owned my dream bike.

Now I ride it every chance I get. It’s fast, fun, and incredibly responsive. And because it’s so rare, people often stop to ask about it. Sharing this piece of 80s steel racing history is just as fun as riding it.”

Thanks for sharing Josh! We can’t wait to have you again!
