Collaboration blend.

A week ago , I packed my suit case with 10kg of Angel Ortega Colombia Gesha and hopped on the plane to Vancouver. Shariff and I discussed this project the whole summer and it’s finalized at last ! ; the collab blend. We decided to call it “The world united, Pangaea”.
The pull-over shell was designed and made over the summer.
Time to roast.
As I arrived to Modus Roastery in rainy Burnaby BC , the boss man was waiting for me with the counterpart Peru Gesha natural!
We cupped and decided to do an even 50/50 blend. It tasted very nice.
We were joking that it almost tasted like Panama Geisha. 😂
For me though, more than taste, what was more important was that a small dream was coming true because Modus coffee has always been my role model and I finally got to work on a small project together.
Thank you Shariff

Little Update: This is what I’ve been doing.
Hi coffee lovers.
This is Sean from RGLR coffee. My apologies on long wait(if you ever felt that way). Past year, after closure of the cafe, I’ve been reading, roasting and tasting coffee to improve and reinvent myself as a coffee roaster. It’s not easy. I believe this new angle of career is a long game and forever learning type of path. However, I feel more closer to the coffee farmer and become more integrated into world of coffee which I am very grateful for.
I am working hard to open a RGLR web-store and tasting bar (by reservation) and it’s arrrrlllllmooost there. 🙏🏼🙌🏻🙏🏼
I will let y’all know when I am ready to have you 🫡🤘🏼 Till then, take care, drink nice coffee and thinking about coffee farmers sometimes.
See you soon.
Sincerely yours
Sean xoxo

This December we've got some exciting coffees coming from some of our favourite roasters! These delicious beans will make great stocking stuffers for any coffee lover!
We're starting the month off with a delivery from La Cabra! This nordic roaster is known for delicate, flavourful coffees that work best after letting them rest for a few weeks!
The idea of resting coffee is to allow the gasses, trapped in the bean during the roasting process (like CO2), to expel naturally. Coffee too fresh will have a harder time properly extracting as the gasses can repel water. This usually means less sweetness and complexity in the cup and that's no bueno!
With a lighter roasting style like La Cabra, we recommend a slightly longer resting period than more developed roasts. La Cabra themselves recommend a minimum resting period of 10 days after roast, noting excellent results even after six weeks. That means you'll still be able to have all the delicious nuance in your coffee even on Christmas morning!
La Cabra will be available for purchase this Saturday, Dec. 3rd, with select pour-over options available on our Brew Bar!
