My first community event was attending Vania ‘s Coffee Potluck and it’s been inspiring to see how coffee brings people together. I wanted to try organizing one after chatting with zoe! and share some coffees I’ve been enjoying!
For this event, I teamed up with ETHICA COFFEE ROASTERS, a Toronto-based roastery I discovered during one of my Toronto trip recommended by Joseph
Founded by Greg, Ethica takes inspiration from philosopher Baruch Spinoza’s Ethica, focusing on clarity, structure, and understanding the process behind every cup.
What I love about their approach is that great coffee doesn’t need to be intimidating. Whether you’re into bright, funky coffees or something more classic, the best coffee is simply the one you enjoy drinking.

Its name translates from Kirundi as “Be Well” — an uplifting wish rooted in the community behind this coffee.
Grown at 1,800 masl, Bahire is a washed Red Bourbon with an elegant, tea-like character, refined acidity, and a clean, pleasant finish.
