Yesterday, we closed our shops for our annual GB Staff Appreciation Day! 🫶

It’s one of only three days a year when we close all of our shops, the other two being Christmas and New Year’s Day. And while we love a day off, this one is easily our favourite. 😉

It’s a chance for us to step away from the shops, spend time together, and celebrate the people who make GB what it is. From scooping, making sandwiches, and serving up smiles in the front of house, to all the hard work happening behind the scenes, every single person on our team plays a part in keeping GB running.

We’re so grateful for our amazing team (and everyone else that couldn’t make the special day) and everything they do to bring you the subs and ice cream you love. Our team continues to grow, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where we go together. ❤️

🍦🍫 NEW FLAVOUR ALERT! 🍫🍦

We have a very special Flavour of the Month for September, Tim Tam Slam! 🍫☕️

Back in 2014, our very own Chef Michael spent a year living and working in Australia at one of the world’s best restaurants. One thing that stuck with him? The famous Tim Tam Slam.

If you’re not familiar with the ritual, you bite off both ends of a Tim Tam, dunk it into a hot drink (for Chef Michael, it was English Breakfast tea), and use it like a straw to pull the tea through the chocolate biscuit. Then comes the race. You’ve got mere seconds to slam the now-soaked Tim Tam into your mouth before it falls apart in your cup. Naturally, we thought, why not turn that into ice cream? 🍦

Our take starts with an English Breakfast tea ice cream made with a blend of black teas from Assam, Ceylon, and Kenya. We fold in pieces of Tim Tam and swirl in rich ribbons of chocolate fudge. The tea base keeps things balanced while letting those chocolatey add-ins do what they do best. 🍫 It’s rich, decadent, and basically a Tim Tam Slam you can eat with a spoon.

Tim Tam Slam is available in scoops and pints at all locations starting September 1! Your chance to experience the ritual... without needing a cup of tea.

Starting September 1st, we were thinking of changing our name from Good Behaviour to Great Behaviour.

We’ll be celebrating 5 years of GB next month, so we figured it was about time for a completely unnecessary name change. 🎉

After all, if Lake Ontario can become Lake America, surely Good Behaviour can become Great Behaviour. 🤷😂

Just kidding, obviously. We’ll be sticking with Good Behaviour, because sometimes things are perfectly fine the way they are. 🇨🇦🍦
