We’re honoured to announce Phil Alain, Founder of as this year’s OEB Home Grown Hero.

In honour of his late wife Amy, Phil founded Amy’s House, providing a welcoming place for cancer patients and their families travelling to Edmonton for treatment.

What began as a tribute to Amy’s wishes and memory has become a source of support for countless families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Phil was nominated by his friend Jason, who shared the incredible impact Phil has had on so many lives.

As our Home Grown Hero, Phil will receive brunch for a year, but more importantly, we hope this recognition shines a light on the remarkable work he and the team at Amy’s House continue to do.
