As we cope with the latest government imposed lockdown, we want to let you know that we’re still here.
Here to safely employ our beloved team and serve you our food, the best and most responsible way possible.
We’ve made a few changes with safety at the top of our minds and our customers in our hearts. We don’t think it’ll be easy but we’ve shifted enough times this year to last a lifetime. So we think we can do it once more.
So let’s support and love each other the best we can and get through the next 28 together.
In the meantime, let us fill your souls with your favorite hot soupy noodles. We will be adding some home meal kits shortly as well.
Thank you for all your support and our amazing staff that continue to do what they love.
Both and our sister resto are waiting for you. We could use a couple air hugs.
🙏🏽❤️🍗🍜

The term”Shiok” refers to when the flavours hit the spot.
Well, we’ve been known to hit a few spots with our authentic laksa bowls.
The countdown begins.
We missed you.

Please watch, please SHARE.
We can't think of a time in our generation that has hit our industry as hard. An industry that has helped embed themselves in every community of every city and neighbourhood.
We love serving you and we hope to do so in person again very soon. This is why we need your voice and your support during this time. Help strengthen our efforts so we can be there for all your future moments when things get back to normal...because they will, as long as we are in this together.
A heartfelt thank you to all the first responders, health workers, retail and restaurant staff, delivery professionals, farmers, producers and all other essential workers. You are the real heroes for your ultimate sacrifices that you provide for all our communities.

We have made the difficult decision to halt all operations at MAKAN and will be closed indefinitely.
We are choosing to prioritize the safety of our staff, patrons and partners as well as doing our part to on the spread of COVID-19.
We would like to thank all our customers, partners and industry friends who have supported us from day one and through to this decision.
We encourage everyone to stay positive, value this time with your loved ones and discover new flavours and dishes in your own kitchen.
If you would still like to support us, gift cards for future business can be arranged for future redemption.
We’ll see you all on the other side. Sending love to all you 🙏🏽❤️🍜

Who wants to go to Singapore???
2019-2020
Modern, bustling, multicultural.
If there is one country that should be labelled as a melting pot of cultures, it has got to be Singapore. With three key races— Chinese, Malay and Indians, the Lion City is the place where you find their respective cultures (and then some more) live together in harmony.
An extremely modern state city, Singapore often gives its visitors a glimpse of what cities will be like in the future. And yet, amidst this well-designed urban jungle, traditions are not lost.
Hawker Centres are a great way to see this phenomena. Uncles and aunties who’s life’s work revolved around their beloved stalls with recipes developed and passed from generation to generation work alongside young entrepreneurs with the newest food concepts locals and tourists alike patronise. For a more or less good indication of amazing food, join the longest queue you can find in Amoy or Maxwell Food Centre. My favourite recommendation? The Original Katong Laksa stall in Queensway Shopping Centre is where you can find the best chicken curry and laksa of your life.
Moving around the city is easy, with train stations all over town and buses plying the whole island til midnight. Be sure to get your own EZ Link card when going around town. Forget about taking taxis or Grab, unless you’re rushing.
Often, Singapore is labelled as boring, with nothing much to do after you’ve been to the Marina Bay area and Sentosa. But if you know where to look, this city will always have something more to offer.
This is not the usual set that I usually share, as these were taken in various times over the past few months, with some photos from test/practice photowalks I did in preparation for my recent Japan trip (hence the wonky settings in some photos lol). Nonetheless, I do hope you enjoy this set featuring my second home!
