Hi all! Just a quick update that the new Ellery website is now LIVE!

Eternal thanks to our "beta" cooking class and nutrition coaching clients who helped us work out some of the early kinks ❤️

For Ellery Market peeps: the big takeaway is that you can now sign up for a proper interest/waitlist for our holiday dinners, with more options to let us know exactly what you're interested in. But we'll be rolling out the official pre-orders for Christmas 2026 very soon.

Also: we're offering small-scale catering for the 2026 holiday season. 🌲"Small" means: that generally we come and cook on-site, rather than preparing everything elsewhere and delivering it. This works well for at-home gatherings and certain workplace parties. Feel free to get in touch here or on the site if you're interested, but aren't sure whether your setup would work. There are options!

The Ellery is beginning a new chapter! It’s one that grows directly from everything that came before it, while taking my work with food in some new directions. I’m excited to share more very soon!

But for now, today marks three years since we closed the doors to The Ellery Market for the last time.

Those final days were a strange and wonderful mix of farewell party and garage sale, and the love we felt from our community was overwhelming. I’m still enormously proud of what Rauni, our team and I built: a warm little corner of Toronto rooted in good food, local farmers and makers, and the belief that feeding people well matters.

And in a lovely bit of timing, this month also marks ten years since Rauni and I first met. We started working together in a school kitchen, where we set out to rethink what institutional food could be. We cooked from scratch, sourced responsibly, and tried to make food a meaningful part of daily community life. Those ideas came with us into The Ellery Market, and they’ve continued to shape the way I think about food ever since.

So before The Ellery becomes something new, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate what came before it, and everyone who helped make those years so special!! 🥂

❄️ Holiday dinners are back! There is limited availability so get your orders in early! Choose from turkey, duck or vegetarian and place your order through the website. The ordering window will end on December 18, or earlier if we hit capacity. Payment must be made by interac e-transfer. Pick up will be on December 24th 🌲

This certainly is a bittersweet moment, safe to say we both got quite emotional when we saw this! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us and supported us through the years. We miss you all dearly! Keep following this page for future updates 😘

With heavy hearts we have made the difficult decision to close The Ellery Market. It’s been a wild three years and we cannot thank you enough for all of your support. This is an incredible community and we are beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to bring you beautiful food with warm and friendly service. We are so proud of everything we have done and our part in the local food network of amazing farmers and makers here in Ontario. This decision was not made lightly and we will miss you all dearly.

While the kitchen is closed, we will be open this week from Wednesday to Friday from noon - 5pm. Come by for one more visit, we would love to see you! We'll have many liquidation deals so you can take advantage of some great sales on all sorts of things including grocery basics, w**e, books, and fixtures.
