Featured in our July Omakase: Ocean Trout Yuan Yaki.
'Yuan Yaki' (Yuan-style grilling) is a traditional culinary technique where ingredients are marinated in a blend of sake, soy sauce, mirin, and citrus. At Sushi Kaji, we elevate this method by marinating ocean-raised Steelhead Trout in our Yuan marinade and grilling it to perfection.
A refined yuzu beurre blanc accompanies this dish, enhancing its flavours and offering a sublime dining experience.

Sushi restaurants are known for their fresh and delicious seafood, expertly crafted sushi rolls, and unique dining experiences. Sushi Kaji on The Queensway in Toronto is no exception. This omakase sushi restaurant offers a premium selection of sashimi and sushi curated by Chef Kaji himself.
One of the standout dishes at Sushi Kaji is the Spring roll with tiger shrimp and lotus roots. The combination of flavors and textures is simply divine. Another must-try dish is the Gindara - grilled black cod with hatcho miso sauce. The fish is perfectly cooked and the sauce adds just the right amount of umami flavor.
For those looking for something a little different, try the Chasoba noodles with Japanese yam. This dish is light yet satisfying, making it a great option for those who want to indulge without feeling too full.
And don't forget about dessert! The Raspberry & pistachio financier with vanilla bean ice cream is a sweet ending to any meal at Sushi Kaji.
Whether you choose to dine in or order omakase to-go, Sushi Kaji promises an unforgettable culinary experience. Make sure to reserve your seat or place your order via Tock in advance as this restaurant fills up quickly.
