Today, on June 17th the teams of Miss Likklemore’s and Isla Restaurant celebrate our fiercest leader! Happy Birthday to Chef & Owner Lonie Murdock, the woman who inspires us every single day in and out of service.
Chef Lonie has earned recognition in The Toronto Star, Washingtonian, The Washington Post and represents ISLA as a RAMMY new restaurant of the year finalist. She has spent her hospitality career, breaking barriers, creating opportunities and making history for Caribbean inspired cuisine.
Beyond all the accolades and achievements, we’re grateful for the passion and resilience she shows up with everyday. Join us in wishing her a very Happy Birthday. Here’s to another year of creating unforgettable experiences.
With love,

Some stories come full circle. ❤️
Last summer, Chef Christina Khan joined us for our Caribbean Carnival Collaboration Dinner. This summer, we’re thrilled to welcome her back to Miss Likklemore’s as our new Chef de Cuisine.
With experience in some of Toronto’s most respected kitchens, a Trinidadian heritage that inspires her cooking, and a passion for bold, flavour-driven cuisine, Christina brings incredible talent, creativity, and leadership to our team.
“Christina is an exceptional chef whose creativity, passion, and vision make her the perfect addition to the Miss Likklemore’s family. After working with her during last year’s Carnival collaboration, I knew she was someone special. I’m excited to welcome her into this role and look forward to what we’ll create together.” — Chef & Owner, Lonie Murdock
Please join us in giving Chef Christina a warm Miss Likklemore’s welcome✨
