Goeiedag! And we're through! Not only through, but top of the group! With a 3-1 win against Tunisia and Japan tying 1-1 with Sweden, the Netherlands finish first in Group F and will go on to face Morocco in the Group of 32! We hope to see you on Monday, June 29 to cheer on Oranje as we enter the first of the knockout stages of the tournament! Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for 9 p.m. kickoff! More to come! HUP! HUP! HUP!

Goeiedag! OK, last game of the Group Stage happening tonight! Open at 6 p.m. with kickoff against Tunisia at 7 p.m.! You know the drill by now:

- No reservations; first come, first served.

- We're a tiny place. Wish we could fit more but if we're full, our friends at Sauce () will be showing the game on their back patio. (While they normally also show the game in the bar, they have live music scheduled tonight so more limited space for this match.)

- No regular dinner service tonight, but snack menu available with food coming out on disposable containers.

- Very limited seating, be prepared to stand to cheer for Oranje.

And honestly, standing to watch a game makes it way more of a festive atmosphere! As demonstrated by the fantastic crowd we had on Saturday. This was part of the post-game celebrations happening here (thanks to for the great video). ... Let's hope we'll have cause to do this again tonight! HUP! HUP! HUP!

Hallo! Sorry for the short notice but this Sunday we'll be doing our last Stroopwafel Sunday ahead of the summer break. Please join us for freshly made jumbo stroopwafels (Dutch syrup waffles) made from scratch! We'll be serving them from our front deck from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. but also open inside for regular service and some Dutch-inspired brunch specials! HUP! ... Oh wait, that's for tomorrow. Ah, HUP is for everything right now!

Also a reminder of course that we open at 6 p.m. tomorrow for the 7 p.m. kickoff between the Netherlands vs. Tunisia. No regular service Thursday but non-football seating on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m. Email us for reservations (not for the game) or any questions at [email protected]. Bedankt!

Goeiedag! Hope you are well. Big thanks to everyone who came out for our last Metal Monday ahead of summer break. It was a lot of fun. Special thanks to DJ for the killer Pride-inspired playlist! We'll be back with more monthly heaviness at Borrel in September!
.. Also, a long overdue huge thank you to everyone who came by for the Netherlands vs. Sweden match on Saturday! You guys were such an awesome crowd! Also helped that Oranje played so well and we had five goals to celebrate in their 5-1 victory! And yet, it's still not a 100% guarantee that we go through to the Round of 32 so we need your support again this Thursday as the Netherlands take on Tunisia for the final game of the Group Stage!

We'll be opening our doors at 6 p.m. for the kickoff at 7 p.m. Please note that we'll be opening for the game only and not offering regular service. Plenty of eats available from our menu for the games, but it'll be coming out on disposable containers. Also, good chance you'll be standing to watch the game. We reconfigure Borrel to accommodate larger numbers so we remove seats and tables to allow for mostly standing room. While we do have some tables and seats, we fill up quickly and they get snapped up right from doors open. No reservations, it's first come, first served. So make sure you're comfortable with standing. ... It does actually make for a way more festive atmosphere as demonstrated by the Oranje supporters who were here on Saturday!

If we are full, our friends at Sauce () will be showing the game on their back patio. While they normally also show the game in the bar, they have live music scheduled that evening so more limited space for this match. Remember, .to, .to and are all Oranje-friendly venues you can visit as well!

Email us at [email protected] if you have any questions or want to make a reservation when we're open for non-football service on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m. ... And holy cow, have I not posted yet about Stroopwafel Sunday happening on June 28 yet?! That's happening from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Post coming soon! Hope to see you on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday! HUP! HUP! HUP!

Hallo! Hope you had a great weekend. And happy belated Father's Day! Totally meant to post yesterday but we were still recovering from an epic Saturday! A post with a recap of that wonderful day to come. But right now our focus is on metal! ... Q***r metal, that is!

Our buddy Jeff (DJ Evilgnome) will be spinning metal in the name of Pride! His words said it best so please come celebrate with us from 6 p.m. onward. We'll have killer tunes, Alison bartending, me cooking up some snacks, $6.66 pints of Export Lager and good times! Hope to see you tonight! 🏳️‍🌈🤘🏳️‍🌈🤘🏳️‍🌈🤘

Alison's back in Oranje action! All ready to go for 1 p.m. kickoff between the Netherlands and Sweden! Doors open at noon! Our friends at Sauce (), across the street at 1376 Danforth Ave., will open at 1 p.m. for the game if you can't fit in here! ... Dinner service happening after the game from 5-9 p.m.-ish. HUP! HUP! Fijne vrijdag! Thanks so much to everyone who came by for a much busier-than-expected Thursday night! Massive thanks to Dayna (), who covered both front- and back-of-house for the night!

Open tonight at 6 p.m. ... but I think most eyes are on tomorrow afternoon's matchup between the Netherlands and Sweden! After a tie with Japan, it's safe to say the stakes are much higher with this game and we need your help cheering Oranje on to victory!
.. That said, a reminder that we have a tiny place. It's unfortunate for big days like tomorrow but it's what we have to work with. If you're coming, be prepared to stand to watch the game as we have very limited seating. But anywhere you are, you'll have an excellent sight line to either our big screen or smaller screen by the bar, Dutch snack foods, beer (but sadly, Grolsch flip-top bottles have been discontinued in Canada) and a packed house of enthusiastic fans. It makes for a unique and intimate Oranje viewing experience!

So it's no reservations, first come, first served. We'll open our doors at noon with kickoff at 1 p.m. We apologize if we can't accommodate you but we are indebted to our friends at Sauce (), who will open early for the game for any Oranje faithful who can't fit in here. They're just across the street at 1376 Danforth Ave.

After the game, we'll be open for dinner service ... hopefully all in an elated mood! Reservations for dinner are welcome! Email us at [email protected] to do so or if you have any questions. We're closed on Sunday for Father's Day but open on June 22 for a special Pride edition of Metal Monday hosted by DJ Metal-y Jeff ()!

Thanks as always and hope to see you tonight, tomorrow for the game or tomorrow for dinner or all three! Fijn weekend! HUP! HUP! HUP!

Goeiedag! We're back at it at 6 p.m. today ... and with being so focused on Oranje through this tournament, we completely missed that Canada will be playing their second match right when we open! We'll be screening the game at the very least on our smaller TV by the bar. But if you want the big screen and sound on, we're happy to do it, just let us know! HUP! HUP! HU ... uh, Go Canada!

Hallo! Hope you are well. OK, long overdue recap of Sunday afternoon's first Dutch match of the tournament. ... Obviously, not the result we were hoping for. But, also obviously, much better than a loss. With this 2-2 draw against Japan, it's fair to say this Saturday's match against Sweden is that much more important if we're to go through to the next round (please, please, please!).

And we'll have it screening for you here! We'll be open on Saturday at noon for the 1 p.m. kickoff. And we'll be open for dinner service after! During the game, just a snack menu with food going out on disposable containers. ... That's really the only way to do it with the crowd we saw on Sunday!

For those of you who were here on June 14, we hope you had a good time. The atmosphere was awesome! But a massive thanks to Matt () and Jo () who somehow managed to get food and drinks out to all the Oranje faithful with just the two of them (thanks again guys! Alison is back to help on Saturday!).

If you couldn't get in on Sunday, our apologies. We hope you had a good time watching the game at Sauce. (We got reports back that it was quite the sea of Oranje there as well!). We're thrilled our friends at will open up early for the game on Saturday so you have a place to go if you can't fit in here. And once again, .to, .to and are all Oranje-friendly venues in the city as well!

Open tomorrow and Friday at 6 p.m. for regular service and then at noon for the game on Saturday (already nervous!). Closed for Father's Day but open on June 22 for a special Pride edition of Metal Monday! HUP!

Hallo! OK, full recap of yesterday's big game and details on the next one coming soon. But all this football madness has made me forget about my Metal Monday duties! In a week's time, we'll be doing a special Pride edition of Metal Monday! Join us as our dear friend and longtime Metal Mondayer DJ gets loud with a capital L(GBTQIA+) for a special night devoted to metal's heaviest non-hetero headbangers! $6.66 pints of Avling! Snacks! Alison bartending (I can't believe I used to attempt to do both at one time)! Good times! Hope to see you on June 22 from 6 p.m. onward! 🤘🤘🤘

Ah, the calm before the storm. ... The Oranje storm that is! While rain is in the forecast all day, you can dry and cozy (if not a bit anxious!) inside with us for the game between the Netherlands vs. Japan today!

We'll open our doors at 2:30 p.m. for the kickoff at 4 p.m. As nervous as I am about the game, I'm almost as nervous about when we open up for the first Dutch international matchup. As you can see, we're a small place and the setup might be a bit less than ideal for a highly anticipated event. But we do what we can with the space we have (if only we could somehow magically expand into an airplane hangar for these events!).

Continuing to get reservation requests (way more than past tournaments!) but with our setup it only makes sense to do first come, first served. So apologies in advance if you're not able to get in. Our friends at Sauce () are right across the street at 1376 Danforth Ave. and will be opening at 3 p.m. to provide an Oranje-friendly screening experience! .to, .to and are all Oranje-friendly venues around the city as well!

Hope you enjoy the match wherever you're watching and hope we'll have many more Oranje matches to come! HUP! HUP! HUP!
