An important message from us ❤️
After five incredible years, Dave’s Genuine Deli will be closing, and our last day will be Saturday, March 14.
What began during the pandemic as catering — then curb-side pick-up from a tiny kitchen on St. Clair Ave. — grew into our dine-in space on Avenue Rd. Because of you, it became so much more than sandwiches. It became a community. The familiar faces, the regulars, the families celebrating milestones, and the quick lunches that turned into long conversations are memories we will always cherish.
Like many small restaurants, rising food costs, shifts in spending, and high third-party delivery commissions have made it increasingly difficult to operate sustainably. With a major renovation planned for the upper levels of our building requiring us to relocate when our lease ends, we’ve made the difficult decision to close this chapter.
As a thank you to this amazing community, everything will be 50% off in-store only during our final two days — Friday 2PM-Close and Saturday 10AM-Close.
