Hey there all u beautiful snacks! We hope you had a wonderful Family Day long weekend. We have a big announcement coming very soon, but in the meantime we wanted to address something on a more serious note.
As many of you may know, we recently had some issues with our delivery partner UberEats, which caused an availability outage on the platform for several days. The issues stemmed from an unauthorized action taken by the UberEats team, causing our menu to display incorrect items and prices, along with a slew of other errors which fell on us to repair.
After spending countless hours on hold and being positively stonewalled by Uber’s abysmal restaurant support team for days, we decided to give up on our endeavour to have the changes reverted, and spent the better part of the week manually fixing our menu.
We won’t lie - the downtime hurt us. The majority of consumers nowadays use UberEats as their go-to delivery app, and we lost out on a lot of business for the days we were shut down.
This morning, we woke up to find that they had done it again. The same unauthorized changes to our menu requiring us to close our store on Uber until we’re able to manually fix the issues.
Instead of reaching out to UberEats again and wasting time with a support team so profoundly lacking in structure and accountability you’d be hard pressed to believe they’re a company worth $112 billion, we decided to give our other delivery partners a call.
We’re positively elated to say that where Uber let us down, and stepped up.
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve expanded our delivery radius with both partners, and we encourage you all to please consider ordering through one of them next time you place an order with us. Plus, by ordering through you’re supporting a Canadian 🇨🇦 company!
We also are available for pickup orders for all our Kensington Market neighbours. Come say hi any time between 7pm and midnight to get an extra treat on us with your pickup order - just make sure to place your order first so we know you’re coming.
Thank you all for your continued support. We look forward to serving u!😘❤️🍫🍬🍿🍪🍨
