Despite being new to the world of coffee (civil engineering background), Third Wave Coffee marks an important and pivotal chapter in my career. A labour of love in every aspect. Now that we are closing our 42 Church St. location, I can’t help but feel like I am leaving a piece of my heart behind.
Thank you for the love, kindness, friendships and support over the last 5 years. It all meant more than you could possibly imagine.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our 42 Church Street location as of
Monday, the 2nd of December.
We decided not to extend the lease and relocate our business, after failing to reach, what we believe is, fair and unbiased renewal terms with the landlord. An unforeseen situation that made such a difficult decision easy to make!
We strongly believe that Third Wave Coffee, with its values and principles, deserves a better space with a landlord who appreciates the way we conduct our business, as much as our patrons and partners do!
We remain grateful to the support of our community, patrons and partners over the past five years, and we will be missing you all!
Until we meet again in our new premises, please continue supporting small businesses and stay well caffeinated.

As we had some time to explore this year’s coffee program, let’s bring weekly highlights to share our thoughts and experiences:
Starting with Diamond Mountain Catuai from Hacienda La Esmeralda, Panama!
🌿 Grown in the renowned regions of Jaramillo & Cañas Verdes at altitudes of 1,400 - 1,600 MASL, washed process delivers a rich, complex flavour profile.
Expect a delicious mix of dark chocolate, nuts, figs, oranges, with hints of cloves and black pepper.

Good coffee, made simple. Central American offerings tend to do well in a variety of applications, and a classic French press is no exception. Bold body and sweet praline notes blend well with milk or non-dairy of your choice for a well rounded, approachable coffee that everyone will love. Head Barista tip: use 1:15 ratio for a bold, flavourful coffee.

To get to Church Street in Toronto via public transport, take the subway and get off at Wellesley Station. From there, walk east on Wellesley Street until you reach Church Street. Turn right onto Church Street and continue walking for a few minutes until you reach your destination.
If you are driving, you can park at the Green P parking lot located at 65 Mutual St., just a couple of blocks west of Church St. Another option is to use street parking which is available on most of the surrounding streets. Be sure to check the parking restrictions before leaving your car.
Once parked, walk towards Church St and turn left onto it. Walk for a few minutes until you reach your destination on the right-hand side.
