We are excited to announce the 2026 Champions of Tomorrow Scholarship recipient… 🎉​

Griffin Seafoot from Kamloops, B.C! ​

Griffin is the recipient of this year’s $25,000 Champions of Tomorrow Scholarship — presented by Papa Johns Canada and Canadian Hockey League to recognize young Canadians making a difference on and off the ice.​

While being a goaltender, Griffin maintains an A average, mentors younger players in his community, and at just 12 years old launched a school food drive that has grown into a district- wide initiative — collecting more than 10,000 pounds of food over the past four years.​

This summer, he’ll attend Shad Canada at St. Francis Xavier University, with plans to pursue engineering at the University of Waterloo.​

We can’t wait to recognize Griffin on the ice at the 2026 Memorial Cup presented by Kubota in Kelowna on May 31. 🏆​

To get to Ellesmere Road in Scarborough, you can take the TTC bus 95 or 116 and get off at the intersection of Ellesmere Road and Markham Road. From there, walk east on Ellesmere Road and the pizza place will be on your right.

If you are driving, take Highway 401 to Markham Road exit and head north. Turn right onto Ellesmere Road and the pizza place will be on your right-hand side. Limited parking is available on site but there may be additional street parking nearby.
